2021年9月4日,フランス,マルセイユ発 (IUCN) – 商業的に漁獲されるマグロ類4種は,この10年間にわたる地域漁獲枠の執行の成果として,回復に向かっていることが『IUCN絶滅危惧種レッドリスト™』の本日の更新版により明らかになった.これは,マルセイユでのIUCN世界保全会議で発表されたもの.しかし,この回復は,海産種への圧力が増大するなかで起こっている.世界のサメ・エイ類の37%が,乱獲により,これに生息環境の喪失と悪化,気候変動が重なって,絶滅の脅威に晒されている.
