Apply now - WCPA and CoalitionWILD Mentorship Programme

CoalitionWILD and the WCPA are accepting applications to the 2019 Global Mentorship Programme, pairing conservation veterans with emerging leaders for a 12-month intergenerational exchange. Apply to be a Mentor or Mentee by 15 January.

Young people who have mentors are 130% more likely to hold leadership positions, and the “conservation community has a responsibility to help youth by empowering young professionals to develop their capacities and networks...recognizing that youth have as much to teach as they have to learn.” (2016 IUCN Congress Navigating Island Earth: The Hawaiʻi Commitments).

Change someone’s life, and your own, by participating in the 2019 CoalitionWILD Global Mentorship Programme. A partnership between the IUCN World Commission on Protected Areas (WCPA) and CoalitionWILD, this 12-month commitment will pair veteran conservationists with emerging leaders for a virtually facilitated program building collaborative, cross-generational relationships.

Gain perspective, find community and connection, reignite your passion for your work, and bridge the generational gap by becoming a mentor or a mentee. Apply to be a mentor or mentee by 15 January 2019 at www.coalitionwild.org/mentorship.

The Global Mentorship Programme is free for participants, and applicants will be paired based on area of interest or expertise, region, language, and other identifying responses in the application. Pairs are encouraged to meet virtually 2 times per month, and optional group calls, facilitated sessions, topics for discussion, and meet ups will be offered throughout the program. Mentees must be 35 years of age or younger on 15 February 2019, and mentors can be any age but must possess 10 years of experience in a relevant field.
