The event will feature champions and advocates sharing their passion for sports and nature. There will be a discussion with sports stakeholders committed to taking action for nature, incl. athletes, new signatories, and the Olympic Games, as well as local sports, incl. the New York Marathon. Panellists will showcase the links between nature and climate and our well-being.

Speakers will include:

  • H.S.H. Prince Albert II, Sovereign Prince of Monaco
  • H.E. Razan Khalifa Al Mubarak, UN Climate Change High-Level Champion for COP28 and IUCN President
  • Dona Bertarelli, an accomplished sailor, philanthropist, IUCN Patron of Nature and co-founder of Sails of Change
  • Senior leaders from the International Olympic Committee and United Nations Environment Programme

The event will also celebrate new and current sports organisations that are committed to take action under the Sports for Nature Framework. For any sports organisations that might be interested in joining this global initiative, this is an opportunity for them to work with other leaders in the sector and be recognised for advancing their sustainability journey. Sports of all sizes and in all regions are eligible.

Note that attendance to this event is by invitation only.
