NbS Management Hub
The NbS Management Hub helps drive efforts to scale up Nature-based Solutions and supports the uptake of the IUCN Global Standard for Nature-based Solutions, its mainstreaming in national policies and strategic plans as well as in financial decision-making.
The Hub provides support to IUCN’s members, its network of partners, and the global community, ensuring the effective implementation of Nature-based Solutions (NbS).
The Hub also advises countries to deliver their commitments to conserve, restore, and sustainably manage their terrestrial, freshwater, and marine ecosystems, their biodiversity, as well as the products and services they provide for human well-being and prosperity.
The Hub’s Three Areas of Focus
The NbS Management Hub supports IUCN Members and partners through three focus areas:
Designing Solutions
The Hub helps practitioners, investors and decision-makers across sectors shape the technical design of efficient and effective NbS.
Developing Tools
The Hub creates innovative tools and approaches and builds the capacity of practitioners to accelerate the uptake of quality NbS.
Accelerating Implementation
To bring NbS at scale, the Hub supports political decision-making by providing technical expertise and leveraging national and international policy opportunities.
The Hub’s Services
The NbS Management Hub supports the design, implementation, and scale-up of high-quality NbS through the following services:

supporting policy design at the national and global level;

assisting the development of proposals for Nature-based Solutions at the local, national, and global level;

connecting practitioners with donors and investors;

building capacity of practitioners across sectors;

sharing lessons learned and best practices.
