The 8th IUCN Asia Regional Conservation Forum (RCF 2024)

The 8th IUCN Asia Regional Conservation Forum (RCF) will be held in Bangkok, Thailand, between 3 - 5 September 2024 under the theme 'Reimagining Conservation in Asia: A Nature Positive Future'. More information, including registration procedures, will be available on this page soon. 

Held every four years, the IUCN Asia Regional Conservation Forum (RCF) serves as the leading platform for knowledge and partnerships in the region, bringing together key stakeholders in nature and biodiversity conservation. This year, IUCN Asia will convene the 8th RCF to address key transformative directions and actions for achieving a nature positive future for Asia and the world. About 500 representatives of Union constituents, partners and supporters will gather for the three-day event in Bangkok, Thailand.

Agenda as of 4 April

Co-organised with the National Committee of IUCN Members in Thailand and in cooperation with the Department of National Parks, Wildlife and Plant Conservation, Government of Thailand, the RCF aims to evaluate conservation progress, revisit priority goals and propose strategic directions for the region's key stakeholders to best address challenges concerning the environment and biodiversity over the next 20 years.

Event highlights:
- Plenary and thematic sessions to present and discuss key regional challenges and trends

How to get involved
Participate
Union constituents (IUCN Members and Commissions) are encouraged to fully participate in the event, including sessions specifically dedicated to them. Additionally, we welcome the broad participation of our partners, donors, regional and international organisations, academia, and others in our plenary sessions, side events, exhibitions and in various networking opportunities.
