Palau Protected Areas Network Fund

The Palau Protected Areas Network Fund (PANF) is a non-profit organization created by law in 2008 to be a seperate entity from the National Government that serves as the financial mechanism for the Protected Areas Network. The Protected Areas Network (PAN) is a national network of conservation of Palau's biodiversity. In November 2010, PANF was incorporated. In 2011, a 9-member Board of Directors was formed to have full oversight with fiduciary and prudent stewardship of PAN monies. In addition, a general manager has been appointed by the Board of Directors and is responsible for operations and business management. The PANF has since its incorporation been funding and supporting PAN and Palau's efforts in biodiversity and cultural preservation and conservation.
