Associação de Zoológicos e Aquários do Brasil

AZAB is a non-profit NGO created on September 23, 1977, that aims to integrate Brazilian zoos and aquariums, contributing to the development of institutions and inserting them in the international community, with the goal of making Brazil a world reference in ex situ conservation and education through engagement in educational campaigns. Currently, it has 46 institutional members throughout Brazil, and in its education, nutrition, communication, animal welfare and certification committees. Therefore, we understand that cooperative work is extremely important for these goals, as we are members of ALPZA, WAZA and Species 360.
