There's a limited understanding about the threats posed bu invasive alien species (IAS) ocurring in aquatic ecosystems of the Iberian peninsula. The main goal of INVASAQUA is to increase public and stakeholders awareness for IAS problems in aquatic ecosystems and to develop key tools that will improve an efficient early warning and rapid response (EWRR) framework for new IAS in freshwater and stuarine habitats.
