National strategies & action plans
East Africa has not yet prepared a subregional strategy for elephants. However, a number of countries have completed national strategies.
Kenya:
Conservation and Management Strategy for the Elephant in Kenya 2012-2021
Tanzania:
Tanzania Elephant Management Plan 2010-2015
Uganda does not yet have a strategy, but the Uganda Wildlife Authority has started the process for developing one.
