The Secretariat of the Convention on Biological Diversity, along with IUCN and the United Nations Environment Programme, and support from the International Olympic Committee, will launch the first-ever Sports for Nature Framework, aimed at engaging sports organisations on nature. 

A new WHO-IUCN guidance will be launched at this event for biodiversity policymakers on the integration of health and Nature-based Solutions, laying out concrete actions to protect biodiversity, nature and ecosystem health.

The session will help Parties understand several current and potential opportunities for securing outcome-based financing and investment that could support implementation of the GBF, especially Target 3 and 30x30 ambitions. 

This side event will introduce the Global Species Action Plan and its Online Knowledge Platform and explain how it can support Parties and other stakeholders implement the Post-2020 GBF to achieve the needed species outcomes.
