This report jointly commissioned by the International Council on Mining and Metals and the International Union for Conservation of Nature, and prepared by the Biodiversity Consultancy, provides an overview of the current and key issues regarding biodiversity offsets. These are ways to counterbalance, compensate, or make up for the disturbance of land, ecosystems and habitat which occurs in mining and processing operations.
