The Jane Goodall Institute China

The Jane Goodall Institute (JGI) China, an affiliate of the Jane Goodall Institute Global, is registered independently in China and is responsible for raising its own funds. Founded by Dr. Jane Goodall, JGI China’s flagship program is the Roots & Shoots Environmental Education Program focused on partnering with over 1,000 schools in China to educate youth to protect the environment and animals. We promote the formation of R&S groups in schools, self-sustaining projects, and the integration of environmental education into the educational system from primary to university-level. JGI China though registered in Beijing as a business entity is also registered in Chengdu as a non-profit entity.
