The Hong Kong Bird Watching Society

The Hong Kong Bird Watching Society (HKBWS) was founded in 1957. It became a public charitable organization in 2002, an Associate Member of BirdLife International in 1994, and BirdLife International Partner in 2013. In 2020, HKBWS has become a member of East Asian-Australiasia Flyway Partnership (EAAFP). Hong Kong Bird Watching Society (HKBWS) promotes appreciation and protection of birds and their habitats through education, research, habitat management and conservation advocacy to achieve the vision of “People and birds living in harmony as nature continues to thrive.”
