The Center for International Environmental Law has for 20 years carried out a most critical mission: using international law, institutions, and processes to protect the environment, promote human health, and ensure a just and sustainable society. Our work is designed to promote a just and sustainable society that is based on principles of ecology and justice, that respects local communities, and that lives within the limits of the global ecosystem.
