The main objectives and activities of the organisation are to promote environmental protection, nature and its wealth of
animals; to assist in research for biodiversity conservation of the mountain areas; to contribute to the sustainable
management of resources in partnership with local communities. It is concerned with evaluating the conservation and
sustainable use of biological resources, identifying and evaluating the potential economic and social implications and
benefits of the conservation and sustainable use of species.
