The Freshwater Fish Specialist Group (FFSG) aims to influence decision-making processes at all levels to achieve sustainable uses of freshwater fishes and their habitats through the generation and dissemination of scientific knowledge, widespread awareness of their values, and the development of sound scientific knowledge.
We need a better understanding of all freshwater fish species, to provide information on their value.
To inform conservation efforts, FFSG assesses species for the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species.
