Do you have a passion to change the world? Do you care about nature and forests? Do you want to become part of a generation of  influencers?

Guided by an advertising and communications expert from the award-winning M&C Saatchi Group and international representatives from the Regional Forest Communicators Networks, you will learn how to communicate persuasively about topics such as climate change, biodiversity and ecological restoration, with a special emphasis on the vital role of the world’s forests. You will get hands-on training on how to craft powerful messages to resonate with policy makers, the media, the public and, most importantly, other young people.

By the end of the workshop, you will be equipped to address a wide variety of audiences and be ready to speak about forests and nature at public events. You will also become a member of the Regional Forest Communicators Networks, and will be encouraged to speak at events in your region and create a buzz for major forest-related events such as the International Day of Forests and the XV World Forestry Congress.

Travel and accommodation costs to attend the workshop will be provided for all selected champions.

Who can apply?

If you are between 18 and 25 years old, have a demonstrated interest in forests, environmental and development challenges, and want to make yourself heard, we are looking for you! We welcome applications from young champions from all regions of the world, providing you are able to travel to France under current COVID-19 restrictions. We also welcome applications from young people from other regions who may already be working or studying in France or elsewhere in Europe. You will also need a good standard of written and spoken English to take part in the workshop.
