The AfESG Secretariat is based at the offices of IUCN ESARO in Nairobi, Kenya. The Secretariat is staffed by a Programme Officer and an Administrative Officer, overseen by the AfESG's Chair.
Holly T. Dublin, PhD
Cecily joined AfESG in August 2001 as Administrative Officer. Her appointment was mainly to help administer an EU grant that the AfESG had received between 2000 and 2004. Since then, she has stayed on to administer other grants that the AfESG has received from various donors and is an integral part of the AfESG team. Her main roles are budgeting, financial and administrative management of AfESG grants and general office management.
Cecily has over 20 years’ experience in administrative work in various organisations. Before joining AfESG, she had worked as a Logistics and Administrative officer for the CIDA Programme Support Unit in Nairobi providing logistical and administrative support to CIDA funded projects in Kenya and Uganda. She also worked for UNHCR and Malawi High Commission in Nairobi among others.
Cecily has completed an Executive Bachelor of Business Management at Management University of Africa and graduates in November 2014. She also holds a diploma in Business Management from the Kenya Institute of Management and certificates in secretarial studies (Kenya Polytechnic) and financial management (eCornell University).
