IUCN ROWA, Drylands, Livelihoods and Gender programme participated in the Pastoralism and Rangeland Restoration conference in alignment with Desertif-actions conference in Burkina Faso

IUCN ROWA, Drylands, Livelihoods and Gender programme participated in the Pastoralism and Rangeland Restoration conference in alignment with Desertification conference in Burkina Faso between 18 and 22 June, 2019, as part of HERD project activities in order to ensure that pastoralist communities are well represented in international conferences and shared their experiences in rangelands management. The conference aims to contribute to strengthening regional and global dialogue on the values of rangelands, the opportunities for rangeland restoration and the role of pastoralists as stewards of rangeland landscapes.
