The training was co-organized by #NatureForAll partner, China Environmental Education Centre (CEEC) of Ministry of Ecology and Environment, China, in collaboration with the local Environmental Education centre in Tianjin Municipality, WWF, and China Clubhouse Eco Foundation. The purpose of the training is to promote a teachers capacity in nature education in their respective schools. It is the first in a series of training with the same topic in 2019. Nearly 60 teachers from more than 20 cities around China participated in the training.

Many teachers are keen to learn how to design and implement nature education projects for students. Hanying introduced nature education projects in Europe and the US, especially the Forest Mulle which started in Finland over 50 years ago, and the Hungarian “10 Days in a Forest” project. Hanying also facilitated a group discussion and presentation, helping teachers to use what they had learned in practice. Teachers found this interactive approach very interesting and some expressed that they will use the same model in their schools.

Hanying also take this opportunity to introduce #NatureForAll and encourage teachers to be more proactive to learn from #NatureForAll partners.
