Using the IUCN Portal System – A great resource for Commissions!

The IUCN Union Portal is a web-based, password protected system, which allows for networking, interaction and the sharing of information across the entire Union: Councillors, Members, National and Regional Committees, Commission members and the Secretariat. It is both a working area and an important communication and networking tool for all IUCN constituents. The Portal is a source of knowledge, a hub for creating new institutional partnerships and place to learn about new opportunities.

In the Portal you can create your own profile, content, groups and choose favourites for easy navigation. Being a part of this platform and having access to the entire IUCN network is one of the benefits of your IUCN Commission membership. Each Commission member is granted with a portal access when he or she joins. We encourage all of you to explore the Portal and make use of it to enhance engagement throughout the Union. In particular, we encourage you to edit My Expertise under My Profile. By doing so, information on your expertise will be available throughout the network could help in identifying opportunities for collaboration within the Union.
