In October 2013, CEC invited members and affiliates to design a new logo expressing a love for nature, positive change and people-to-people networking. We were excited and pleased to have received over 40 designs to choose from.
CEC Chair, Juliane Zeidler, had invited members and affiliates of the IUCN Commission on Education and Communication (CEC) to design a winning logo expressing a love for nature, positive change and people-to-people networking. The logo is to be used to establish our identity and to brand CEC for the future.
CEC is a global network of more than 1,100 members who actively volunteer their professional expertise in learning, knowledge management and strategic communication to achieve IUCN goals.
The logo competition was open to any individual or team, company, organization or institution. We were excited to have received over 40 logos that embodied a love for nature, that were uplifting and/ or that represented a global network of nature advocates and practitioners.
The logos were evaluated by a diverse team that represented all corners of the globe. The screening team evaluated the entries based on the following attributes: Graphics, Creativity, Simplicity, Authenticity and Colour.
We will feature the winning logo when we launch the new CEC News Blog in the first quarter of 2014. Stay tuned and be on the look-out for our announcement via our website, and social media platforms.
