Take a Forest Walk at IUCN congress
We are proposing three "Forest Walks" as journeys through the IUCN World Conservation Congress in Jeju, Korea. The attached document details the walks.

These three “Forest Walks” through IUCN’s 2012 Congress consist of only some of the many forest-related sessions and posters taking place at the upcoming meeting in Jeju, South Korea, this September. The journey was selected by the IUCN Secretariat, in consultation with IUCN Commissions, Members and other partners and aims to provide three themed trajectories in line with the 3 pillars of work in IUCN Global Forest and Climate Change Programme’s new programme of work.
With such a vast array of forest and climate change-related sessions taking place at the World Conservation Congress this year, these selections were made to focus mostly on global and regional-focused sessions. An attempt has been made to balance sessions with regard to their individual organisers: IUCN secretariat, commissions, members and partners. Any forest or climate change related sessions in Jeju not reflected here have certainly not been left out due to judgements on quality – and we encourage all delegates and attendees to wonder far beyond these Forest Walks as they explore Jeju 2012.
More information can be found on the IUCN congress website and by following the links provided for each session.
Happy walking!
