" We do not inherit the earth from our ancestors, we borrow it from our children" - S.E
During a school lecture, IUCN was able to promote the conservation and diversity of nature.
It is said, " We do not inherit the earth from our ancestors, we borrow it from our children." Therefore, everyone has the duty to take part in the preservation and improvement of the environment that surrounds us.
Since ecological values are passed by the civic educational system, on Thursday, October 31 , Ziad Samaha , the Programme Manager of the Marine and Coastal Management Programme of the Regional Office for West Asia (ROWA) explained to students that the mission of IUCN is to influence, encourage and assist societies throughout the world to conserve the integrity and diversity of nature and, to ensure that the use of natural resources are done in a fair and sustainable way.
Mr Samaha also encouraged and promoted the protection of Sharks in the Meditaraian sea.
Students left the lecture thinking of what Ghandi once said "Be the change you want to see in the world"..
