Calling for your best idea for a social media campaign on energy and nature! The student competition Powered by Nature now gives you two more weeks to apply for a unique experience and week-long collaborative workshop on social media and sustainability in the Netherlands. The deadline for applications has been extended to Tuesday, 14 May 2013, 23:59 CEST.
About Powered by Nature
Powered by Nature is looking for campaign ideas that use social media and communications tools to change behaviour towards the future of energy, be it through renewables, muscle power or just human efficiency and creativity. It’s time to explore new ways to address energy challenges, get people involved across borders and work together to build awareness and effect change.
What's in it for you
Powered by Nature provides a chance to learn about effective communications for sustainability, get feedback from renowned communications experts, nature conservation professionals, industry leaders and energy campaigners and work with peers from eleven countries on a project that will reach thousands of people.
Powered by Nature will invite one winner from each of the following eleven European countries to the an all-expenses paid workshop in Starnmeer, the Netherlands on 26-30 August 2013: Belgium, France, Germany, UK, Netherlands, Spain, Iceland, Hungary, Switzerland, Italy and Norway.
To apply, you need to sketch an idea for a communications campaign on the future of energy. In no more than 300 words (or, alternatively, a video of 60 seconds), we are inviting you to answer the following questions:
- Which issue would you address?
- What action do you want your audience to take?
- How are you motivating them to take this step?
- What do you hope to achieve?
It’s a good idea not to overthink your application. A good idea suffices, perfect execution is not necessary. There will be plenty of time during the Powered by Nature workshop to review, refine and implement the resulting campaign.
To be eligible, you need to be enrolled in a university in one of the following countries: Belgium, France, Germany, UK, Netherlands, Spain, Iceland, Hungary, Switzerland, Italy and Norway.
