Managing pasture lands in a rational way in order to ensure food security.

After three years of implementation, the project "Dryland Livestock Wildlife Environment Interface Project" abbreviated DLWEIP commonly called "Interface project cattle wildlife environment in the dry zones", has been ended since January 31st, 2009 in the two pilots countries (Kenya and Burkina Faso).

It is then in this scope that two field visits aiming at sharing the lessons learned were carried out in these two countries for the two last months. The elaboration of a new project financed by the European Union for a period of 42 months is to be considered. This project will be implemented in West, Central and East Africa and will focus on the issues of climatic changes in link with food security and the well-being of the pastoral communities.
