Lima COP: Special session on Climate Mitigation and Adaptation in Forest Landscape Restoration

Please join IUCN's Global Forest and Climate Change Programme on December 4th at COP 20's Mountain & Water Pavilion in Lima for a special session on exploring the synergies between climate mitigation and adaptation in Forest Landscape Restoration.

We are pleased to announce a new session during next week's Conference of the Parties to the UNFCCC in Lima, Peru, that will explore, through a panel discussion, the synergies between policies related to mitigation and adaptation in the context of Forest Landscape Restoration and the way forward to build upon these opportunities.

Key topics to be discussed: 1) current discourse and practice in regards to policy linkages between climate change mitigation and adaptation in forest landscape restoration, and 2) what are the challenges and the way-forward to build upon these complementarities and synergies.
