The Gender and Climate Change Dialogues were held in costa Rica on 11-14 October and were well attended, with a very positive response from the participants (32 persons from 10 different countries all over Central and South America, including Mexico).

Lecturers from leading organizations in the field (IUCN Gender Office, GGCA, RUTA, Solidar, Heinrich Boell Stiftung, Red de Genero y Ambiente Mexico and WEDO) explained, taught and interactively exchanged knowledge on gender and climate change for Latin America in small working groups, with the help of banners/posters, short internet movies, role-plays and didactic approaches.

The three-day event took place in a calm and well equipped conference site outside San Jose in the “Escuela Social Juan XXIII” with accommodation for all participants.
