Malta, from 22 to 23 November 2011
This event is organized by the Regional Activity Centre for Specially Protected Areas (RAC/SPA) and IUCN Centre for Mediterranean Cooperation at the initiative of several organisations that participate on the MedPAN North project financed by the European Regional Development Programme and the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID).
The objective is to guide the development of biodiversity conservation in marine protected areas (MPAs) against the threats of climate change. After a review of the expected impacts of changes in the marine environment, the key focus of the workshop will be to discuss how to develop MPA tools to monitor climate change impacts on marine biodiversity and common strategic orientations at the Mediterranean MPAs network level.
