During the months of November and December 2013, IUCN ROWA funded by ICARDA (The Internation Center for Agricultural Research in Dryland Areas) has undergone climate Change Local Knowledge Assessments in Bani Hashem Villages
This assignment is an initial step towards a joint project on establishing Climate - Smart Village for ICARDA's Dryland program were gender is mainstreamed.
The assessment using the CRiSTAL tool, identified community perspectives on Hazards related to climate change in accordance with the litrature. Fifty people (Agricultural representatives) from Bani Hashem villages were assessed on their local knowledge based on the results hazards from CRiSTAL. A gender assessement report was later produced .
