IUCN’s magazine World Conservation examines conservation, development, economics and society in the 21st century. It is a voice for IUCN’s member organizations, Commissions, staff, partners and friends: a place to air a wide variety of views, controversial or consensual, and to stimulate debate. Published two to three times a year in English, French and Spanish, World Conservation is read by a wide variety of people from university lecturers to conservation practitioners. The readership includes key figures in conservation and sustainable development, in both government and non governmental arenas, business leaders and UN agencies.
The latest issue Globalization: the good, the bad and the ugly looks at the effects of globalization on the environment: both good and bad. From fisheries to food production, tourism to technology, what can the environmental community do to ensure globalization follows a more sustainable path?
