WGWAP Panel Meetings
The WGWAP holds two full meetings each calendar year. The meetings are attended by the full Panel, representatives from SEIC and scientists under contract to SEIC, as well as observers from environmental NGOs and international financial institutions.
At each meeting, the Panel reviews a number of technical documents relating to research and monitoring activities, ongoing conservation efforts and mitigation and management efforts relating to the Sakhalin 2 development.
The report of the Panel at each meeting includes a number of recommendations and other advice concerning future research priorities and management and mitigation measures to enhance protection of the whales (see Recommendations).
