Descripción

La relación entre las AP y Comunidades Locales es vital para asegurar una distribución equitativa de los beneficios.
Se examinarán AP conservadas por comunidades, y las diferentes formulas de participación de las poblaciones locales en conservación.

Las diferentes Corrientes de Talleres van a tratar temas relativos a Comunidades y Equidad.

Habrán sesiones específicas centradas en los siguientes temas:

Hacia un mejor entendimiento de las Áreas Conservadas por la Comunidad, incluyendo territorios indígenas;
Evaluación del valor del sistema de categorías de la UICN para las AP manejadas por comunidades locales o en colaboración con ellas;
Hacia un mejor entendimiento de las comunidades y territorios;
Conflictos humanos - vida silvestre;
Estructuras institucionales y de gobernabilidad de AP para las comunidades;
Asuntos de derecho y equidad;
Procesos de participación y manejo de AP;
Gestión efectiva de voluntarios indígenas y locales.
