This section contains a breakdown of the programme per day, details of the workshops, side events and short courses. It also provides information about the exhibition, the field trips and pre / post congress tours.
This is where new documents are posted and news disseminated. As well it host the daily coverage of the congress events and gives useful updates in the build up to the WPC. It includes links to the PARKS newsletter and a section for the Media, covering press releases, media briefs and details of media accreditation

The SACET function will take place on Monday, 15th September at 18:00 for 18:30 in the Nedbank building, upon invitation only (potential donors and other I&APs, also media)to attend this cocktail function where Dr Claude Martin will be the main speaker, with Lesley Richardson (SACET Chair). This event is about awareness, publicity and fundraising for SACET, highlighting the needs for sufficient funds for conservation management training in Africa

Field Trips & Short Courses

KwaZulu Natal Province

Field Trips tailored to the issues under discussion within Workshop Streams and Cross Cutting Themes will be conducted over these two days in the protected areas of KwaZulu Natal Province. In addition a limited number of Short Courses will be offered to participants who wish to use the opportunity of the Congress to undertake hands-on capacity building in the company of international and local experts

The four Field Trips that have been arranged are:

Siyaya Coastal Park / Richards Bay Sanctuary

Due to cost and logistical limitations short courses will be conducted in English only. Numbers of participants who can be accommodated on these courses will also be limited and allocated on a first come first served basis.
