"Conservation planning with software and expert judgement: targets, gaps and priorities"

Bob Pressey, New South Wales National Parks and Wildlife Service.

Participants will be introduced to techniques and software for systematic conservation planning and interactive demonstrations of software applied to regional data sets on biodiversity. Participants will investigate different conservation targets, options for developing expanded systems of protected areas, and approaches to priority setting when resources for protection are limited.

Due to cost and logistical limitations short courses will be conducted in English only. Numbers of participants who can be accommodated on these courses will also be limited and allocated on a first come first served basis.
