WCPA Executive Committee
Steering Committee
The
work of the World Commission on Protected Areas
is directed by a global Steering Committee. The
Steering Committee comprises the Chair, Deputy
Chairs, Senior Advisors, Vice-Chairs for each
of the geographic regions, and the theme Vice-Chairs.
Steering Committee meetings are also attended
by representatives of WCPA Task Forces and WCPA
networks.
The Steering Committee meets normally
once a year for a full week. Annual Steering Committee
meetings discuss and agree on the forward work
plan for WCPA, review progress in relation to
all WCPA activities, approve the Terms of Reference
for Task Forces and WCPA networks, and discuss
issues associated with protected areas in general.
