NASUSG has five focal points, five co-ordinators and some 10 to 15 members in each country.

• Traditional medicine plants and animals.
• Grazing plants in transhumance arid ranges (steppes).
• Traditional fishing in fresh water.
• Collecting /harvesting some wild fruits or their products (e.g., Argan, quercus, fungus).
• Eco-tourism (observing migrating birds in lakes and natural ponds).
