Geographical coverage
Member representation includes Afghanistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Iran, Tadjikistan, Pakistan and Uzbekistan. Over time the intent is to have also a balanced representation from Turkmenistan.

Total membership is approximately 30. The work program operates through three thematic working groups i.e., Wildlife, Forests, and Economic Plants.
