into separate subgroups, often based on various action proposals
outlined in the

Cycad Population Database Subgroup This subgroup
focuses on developing a database for all cycad populations around the

Ex-situ Conservation Subgroup
This subgroup focuses on conservation of cycads in ex-situ
collections around the world. Anders Lindstrom
Insect Pollinator Subgroup
This subgroup focuses on research efforts involving cycad pollinators.
It is a new CSG subgroup created from an informal assemblage of
entomologists and others with similar interests that have met
regularly at
various International Conferences on Cycad Biology. Irene Terry
Invasive Pests Subgroup
This subgroup focuses on pests of cycads in the wild and in ex-situ
collections of conservation importance. Jody Haynes
Population Demography Subgroup This subgroup
focuses on the study of the demography of natural cycad populations. Cristina Lopez-Gallego
Red List Subgroup This subgroup
focuses on regularly revising the Red List classification of cycads. John Donaldson
Sustainable Use Nurseries Subgroup
This subgroup focuses on the sustainable use of cycads in nurseries
operated by local indigenous peoples near cycad habitats. Willie Tang
Taxonomy & Classification Subgroup The goal of this
subgroup is to ensure that cycad taxonomy and classification efforts are
