 Interim Secretariat

It will be established to foster linkages among the various elements of CPRI. As to achieve efficiencies of scale, the Initiative will support several centralized functions. These functions include overall coordination support, input into IUCN’s global policy and programming system, support for communications, monitoring and evaluation and financial management.Back to top

 Management Committee

It will be in charge of overseeing and guiding the implementation of the Initiative. This body will comprise the senior staff members within IUCN who contribute competence to the development of the Initiative. The Management Committee will meet monthly. The Chair will report to the Director, Global Programme.Back to top

 Advisory Board

Its function will be to provide a forum for key partners to share their perspectives and communicate their needs. Representatives of the relevant IUCN Commissions (Commission on Environmental, Economic and Social Policy; Commission on Ecosystem Management; Environmental Law Commission; and World Commission on Protected Areas) and implementing partners will serve on this Board. The Advisory Board will also serve as a vehicle to foster coordination and communications amongst the collaborating partners, with a particular emphasis on guiding development and delivery of policy guidance at the national, regional and global levels.Back to top

 Cross-cutting Task Teams

With representation from the collaborating partners, they will be established within the regions in which the Initiative is being implemented.  These Task Teams will be designed to foster “Communities of Practice” to share lessons learned, provide the basis for mutual capacity enhancement, and facilitate coordination and delivery of expertise at the project level.Back to top
