Introduction CD-ROM ESDebateThe International Internet Debate on Education for Sustainable Development (ESDebate) took place in the period September 1999 –December 1999 on a specially for this purpose designed website now accessible on this CD-ROM. Forty experts from twenty five countries have discussed ESD in five 'rounds'. Each 'round', participants expressed their views on specific subjects and gave opinions on a set of statements. Three moderators analysed input and wrote round summaries of participants' answers.On this CD-ROM you will find all participants' answers and all round summaries. Furthermore, CV's and e-mail addresses of the participants are available. The website also provides top ten lists of relevant links and books. Finally, information about the supporting organisations and the aim and structure of the ESDebate is accessible. We would like to thank the NCDO for initiating and financing the ESDebate, the IUCN for publishing the results and last but not least the participants for sharing their views on ESD.
