PNC Meeting in Karachi (August 09, 2006)

The Pakistan National Committee (PNC) of IUCN members convened a meeting in Karachi. The meeting was chaired by Mr. Javed Jabbar, Chairperson, PNC and was attended by Ms. Aban Marker Kabraji, Regional Director, IUCN Asia, Ms. Nikhat Sattar, Country Group Head-2, Nepal & Pakistan (CGH-2), Country Representative, IUCNP, Mr. Sohail Malik and PNC members.

On this occasion, Ms. Kabraji formally introduced the CGH-2 and

the new Country Representative of IUCN Pakistan to the members of the PNC.

A presentation was given on SPO by Mr. Haris Khaliq. Besides various items, the meeting also reviewed the effectiveness of the Roundtable on Fisheries and discussed new Muree development project.
