Environmental Law in Pakistan (Federal)
Pakistan is a Party to all major multilateral treaties that address natural resource conservation and management. In becoming a Party to these international conventions, the federal government has assumed obligations to implement their provisions, which in many cases requires legislation. Although the subject of wildlife is on the Concurrent Legislative List, no federal law exists to establish fundamental principles of wildlife conservation and use, to be applied equally in all provinces and territories.
