Gawadar District Assembly members visit Peshawar
Peshawar May 21-22: In a series of countrywide exposure visit under the auspices of IUCNP's Gwadar Office, district assembly member's of Gwadar paid visit to IUCNP Sarhad Programme Office. The main purpose of the exposure visit was to brief them about IUCN Pakistan initiatives and major achievements for greening district sustainable development visions, in terms of formulating conservation strategies either at national or provincial levels so that they could equip themselves in translating this experience sharing mechanism in Gawadar District Sustainable Development Plan (DSDP) under the thumb of Local Government Ordinance 2001.

Wetlands of Pakistan available online
Thatta, Feb 26: Wetlands are among the most productive ecosystems in the world, often referred to as the “nature's supermarkets” because of their extensive and rich food webs and biodiversity. Wetlands of Pakistan website was launched at the event took place at Haleji Lake, one of Pakistan’s nineteen Ramsar Wetland Sites of International Importance.
