Programme 2005-2008 (PDF)

IUCN’s Programme in Europe stretches from Greenland in the West to Kamchatka in the East, spanning the whole of the EU, Eastern and South Eastern Europe, the Russian Federation and most of the Commonwealth of Independent States. The IUCN European Programme goal for 2005–2008 is to contribute to halting the loss of biodiversity by 2010 – a political commitment made by European Heads of State and Environment Ministers and has the following 5 main objectives.
