IUCN Members participate in the world's oldest conservation coalition by shaping its conservation policies and programmes and therefore influencing global conservation activities. IUCN Members are involved in formulating and enforcing international conservation conventions. Members also influence the kind of membership the Union has, and are involved in the admission procedures.
