Message from the Director General

On Saturday 27 March, at 8:30pm local time, people in cities and towns all over the world will be switching off their lights to support action on climate change and a sustainable, low-carbon future for our planet. Earth Hour is organized by one of our Members, WWF.

On behalf of IUCN, I encourage all Members, Commission members, staff and partners around the world to join me in turning off the lights this coming Saturday.
