Old friends visiting the ELC

On Tuesday June 8th, two long-time friends of the ELC, Dick Ottinger and Meinhard Doelle, stopped by to meet with ELC staff and interns during the UNFCCC negotiations where they were both participating as official observers.

Dick Ottinger is Pace University Law School Dean Emeritus and Chair of the Climate and Energy CEL Specialist Group, and spent 16 years as a U.S. Representative prior to his career as a law professor. More on Dick’s incredible career can be found here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Richard_Ottinger

Meinhard Doelle is Associate Professor at the Schulich School of Law at Dalhousie University and Director of the Marine & Environmental Law Institute and the Director of the Marine & Environmental Law Programme, as well as Climate and Energy CEL Specialist Group member. Meinhard spent five months at the ELC in 2008 collaborating on projects on climate change and renewable energies.
