IUCN has provided extensive training materials on its Red List categories to support the update of the Red Data Book of Armenia.

The Red List training materials were translated into Russian and used in a training that took place from 25-28 March at the WWF Office in Yerevan, Armenia. Ten zoologists from different institutions involved in the Governmental project on updating of the Red Data Book of Armenia participated. The training was held by Dr.Anush Nersesyan, who has gained extensive experience with the categories through the project "Coordination and Development of Plant Red List Assessments for the Caucasus Biodiversity Hotspot", which is funded by the Critical Ecosystem Partnership Fund and implemented by IUCN.
