Join the ELC at the IUCN World Conservation Congress

The IUCN World Conservation Congress (WCC) will take place from 5 to 14 October, 2008, in the Centre de Convencions Internacional de Barcelona (CCIB) at Barcelona, Spain. More than 8,000 leaders from government, the public sector, non-governmental organizations, business, UN agencies and social organizations will discuss, debate and decide solutions for the world’s most pressing environment and development issues.

The IUCN Environmental Law Centre (ELC) would like to invite you to the following events which are important parts of the Congress stream “Healthy Environments, Healthy People”, one of three streams under the main Congress theme “A Diverse and Sustainable World”.

This image shows the courtship behavior of Indian Bull frogs (Holobatrachus tigerinus). During the monsoon, the breeding males become bright yellow in color, while females remain dull. The prominent blue vocal sacs of male produce strong nasal mating call.
